MiCrédito runs a health clinic at its Rubenia branch which offers medical examinations to local MiCrédito clients. These preventive health services are included in the cost of their loans. Health exams for women include screening for cervical cancer which is a major cause of death among Nicaraguan women. Other services include mammograms, prostate exams, and routine blood tests.
